Background-

Health and Care Jersey has launched a new website for the Mental Health Recovery Hub to help Islanders access mental health and well-being support more easily.

The platform was introduced during Mental Health Awareness Month in May and includes a simpler online booking system for courses and activities.

The Mental Health Recovery Hub is part of Jersey’s Mental Health Service and offers free community-based courses and activities focused on mental and physical well-being.

The service supports people through shared learning, skill development and social connection rather than clinical treatment. Officials said the Hub aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can improve their confidence and well-being.

The new website allows users to explore available courses, check eligibility and book activities online. Some programmes are open to all Islanders, while others are designed for people receiving support from Adult Mental Health Services.

Health and Care Jersey Managing Director Andy Weir said the Recovery Hub supports the island’s wider mental health strategy through prevention, early support and community-based care. He added that the service helps reduce stigma and improve access to mental health support.

Katie Taylor, Lead Mental Health Social Worker and Head of Rehab Services, said the courses were developed with people who have personal experience of mental health challenges.

She said the programmes provide practical tools to help individuals build confidence, develop skills and connect with others as part of their recovery journey.
