Background
noris network AG, a German IT infrastructure provider, has rolled out a sovereign cloud platform for a leading healthcare organisation in Germany, moving it away from a single site setup toward infrastructure split across data centres in Nuremberg and Munich.
The new system shifts the organisation’s critical IT operations into a dedicated cloud environment, giving it a sturdier base for keeping services running and systems reliable. Spreading operations across two locations means data and applications stay accessible even if one site runs into trouble, cutting the risk that came with depending on a single data centre.
noris network said it treated security, data protection and compliance as central concerns throughout the rollout. The platform meets strict security standards and sits under constant watch from a dedicated operations centre, while the healthcare organisation retains control of core tasks such as data backups.
The shift also tackles a recruitment problem many healthcare providers face, namely finding skilled technical staff. Through the partnership, the organisation can now draw on a team of certified specialists who will handle the platform’s day to day management and future development.
The company noted the setup can grow alongside the organisation’s needs while staying in step with shifting healthcare rules across Germany and Europe.
Ingo Kraupa, Chief Executive Officer of noris network, said the chosen cloud platform delivered the reliability, flexibility and scalability required for infrastructure projects of this scale.
noris network added that the model used in this project could serve as a template for other tightly regulated sectors looking to update their technology while holding onto solid security and compliance practices.
