Background-

Healthtech startup Cent has raised $15 million, about ₹143 crore, in a Series A round led by Blume Ventures and existing investor South Park Commons.

Individual investors, including former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin and former OpenAI B2B CTO Srinivas Narayanan, joined the round.

The company will use the fresh capital to strengthen research and development and to expand its AI, engineering and clinical teams.

Cent also acquired Medsee, an AI-powered radiology reporting workflow platform, which will help it deliver faster and more consistent reports as scan volumes grow.

Practo cofounder Shashank ND launched the startup with former Ola Electric CMO Anshul Khandelwal and former Lenskart product head Arpit Garg. It earlier raised $5 million in seed funding.

Cent combines precision radiology, AI and biomarkers to screen people without symptoms for more than 300 conditions, including cardiac disease, cancer and neurological disorders.

Its flagship Cent Check brings full-body MRI, low-dose CT, DEXA scan, ECG and echocardiography together in a single visit of about two hours.

AI consolidates findings from scans into organ-level risk assessments, while AI-assisted imaging shortens MRI scan times.

The package costs ₹27,500 and offers an alternative to routine checkups that rely mostly on blood tests and limited imaging.

Cent has completed 10,000 whole-body scans across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR and aims to reach 1 crore scans by 2035.

It will use scan data to set health baselines for asymptomatic Indians and train models to spot risks earlier.
